Italy-based plastic recycling and reprocessing equipment maker Amurt Group has signed what it calls a cooperation agreement to distribute technology from Girona, Spain-based Bianna Recycling in Italy.
The agreement was signed Dec. 28, 2018, between Bianna Recycling CEO Jordi Sala i Lladó and Mauro Drappo, CEO of Amut Group. The two companies describe it as “a long-term business partnership, worthwhile for both, established to blend values and performances” of the two companies.
Among the goals of the agreement are for Bianna Recycling to “expand its influence on the Italian market and [for] Amut to become its exclusive representative in Italy,” the two companies state in a joint news release.
“Our joint decision to create this synergy is aimed at combining advanced waste treatment technologies to broaden the range of our offerings and to better face the huge variety of recyclable materials,” states Amut's Drappo. “The agreement includes carrying out strategic projects implementing Bianna Recycling’s well-known patented systems,” he adds.
Bianna Recycling makes screens, wind sifters, ballistic separators, conveyors and other equipment designed to separate commingled, recyclable materials.
Amut Group designs and builds equipment to process plastic materials, with a focus on six sectors: extrusion, thermoforming, packaging film, recycling, flexo printing and converting.
